What does organic mean? Certified organic products are free of synthetic additives like pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and dyes, and must not be processed using industrial solvents, irradiation, or genetic engineering.

Are your products non-GMO? Yes! All Certified Organic products are non-GMO.

Is your palm oil sustainable? Yes! We source only from sustainable palm oil producers, through a partnership with the Rainforest Alliance. They are the only vertically integrated supplier globally, so products are completely traceable from seed to final product. They’re located in South America, use farmland previously used for other crops to avoid deforestation, and also get almost 1/3 of their crops from cooperative farms.

 

HOW TO USE OUR PRODUCTS

Frostings: Our frostings are ready to use, straight out of the jar. You don’t need to add anything! If you find the frosting feels too firm to spread, microwave for 5-10 seconds and stir. You can repeat this process once but be very careful not to overheat the frosting as it can separate if heated for too long.

Baking Mixes: Our baking mixes are made with only pure and simple ingredients, which means you won’t find anything you can’t pronounce on our label. Since we leave the GRAG (generally recognized as gross) ingredients out, our cakes don’t rise quite as high as conventional cake mixes, even though we give you more mix per box. If you’re looking to create a a stunning layer cake, we suggest using two mixes to create four cake layers.

 

HIGH ALTITUDE BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

Brownie Mix
– Reduce oven to 325 degrees F
– Add: 2 eggs, 1/3 cup oil, 1/3 cup water, and 2 TBSP flour to the Brownie Mix
– Bake as directed in 8×8″ or 9×9″ square pan

Vanilla Cake Mix
– Add: 3 eggs, 1/3 cup oil, 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons water, and 1 TBSP flour (2 TBSP flour above 7,000ft) to the Vanilla Cake Mix
– Bake at 350 degrees F for the following amounts of time:
– 18-24 cupcakes: 13 to 15 minutes (do not fill more than 1/2 full)
– 9″ cake (round or square): 16 to 20 minutes
– 8″ cake (round or square): 18 to 22 minutes

Chocolate Cake Mix
– No adjustments to mix necessary
– Bake at 350 degrees F for the following amounts of time:
– 18-24 cupcakes: 13 to 15 minutes (fill 1/2 to 2/3 full)
– 9″ cake (round or square): 16 to 20 minutes
– 8″ cake (round or square): 18 to 22 minutes


VEGAN BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

Cookie Mix
– Stir together 3 tablespoons flax and 9 tablespoons water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
– Using an electric mixer, beat 1/4 cup vegan butter on medium speed until smooth. Add flax mixture and continue beating until incorporated.
– Add cookie mix and beat on low speed until batter is slightly thick and uniform throughout.
– Using a cookie scoop or spoon, roll cookie dough into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet in the fridge for 10 minutes to chill, then bake cookies for 11-12 minutes. Edges will be golden brown.

Brownie Mix
– Stir together 3 tablespoons ground flax seeds and 9 tablespoons water; let sit for 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup water or plant-based milk.
– Using an electric mixer, beat 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1/4 cup almond butter, and 2 tablespoons of water on medium speed until smooth. Add flax mixture and beat on low speed until combined.
– Add brownie mix and beat on low speed until batter is thoroughly mixed (batter will be thick). Bake for 55-60 minutes in a greased 8×8” pan.

Vanilla Cake Mix
– Stir together 3 tablespoons flax and 9 tablespoons water; let sit for 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup water or plant-based milk and 1/2 cup coconut or other oil. Follow instructions on box and bake as directed.

Chocolate Cake Mix
– Stir together 3 tablespoons flax and 9 tablespoons water; let sit for 5 minutes. Stir in 1 cup water or plant-based milk and 1/2 cup coconut or other oil. Follow instructions on box and bake as directed.
